Just had this email from the guys at Easypyro:

Unfortunately we are now out of stock of the 20 Cue Waterproof. New stock arriving in about 2 weeks.

There is an 18 Cue system which is exactly the same except in place of cues 19 and 20 it has a trigger input and output. This means you can start the sequencer from any other type of firing system, or perhaps from a battery and tripwire etc (I'm assuming you are using this for airsoft pyrotechnic effects etc). The sequencer can then "flow" out of the trigger output and be used to trigger another firing system with sequencer etc. It's all quite flexible.

Please let me know if you want to wait for the 20 cue or not.

Errrrrrrrrrrrr..................

Yes, 18+2 triggers is good, very happy with that and his explanation is sound...

Fine, and ordered, just not sure how we would use that pratically and safely.

For the loss of two cues, it gives us a lot more flexibility for the future. Not a bad trade off I reckon.

We are OK on bangs but could do with big smokes for in-game use.

Plus the pyro we are giving away.
This begs the question of what and how much we give away, given that almost all booked players are CiA members (or eligible to be).
Any idea of how much Mk5, small smokes and ball grenades are?

25g - 3.90
Trip Mines - 2.00

Smokes
30s - 0.90
60s - 1.10
90s - 1.50
150s - 6.75
Pull fuse mil smoke - 8.50 (Will cover a football pitch in 90s!)
Black smoke - 8.50

Naptha
3" - 9.00
5" - 15.50

Rocket Motor
Black Powder - 2.65
Whistle and Flame - 2.65

Thrown Pyro

I asked about the mortar rounds but the guy didn't know the price. We'd have to ask Tony directly as he's busy setting up firework displays at the moment.

Cool beans.

Spoke to Guy this morning - we have 20x10g bangs (half are ours, half A2C) plus 1x25g plug a handful of tidlers.
If we add a couple of 5" napthas to the barrage mix that would be sufficient.

Large smokes for commander's use would be great (but not gay purple or orange - white or black please) so to have anything useful for putting in attacks (or covering withdrawals) then it had better be the £8.50 jobbies.

I'm pretty certain punters would prefer ball grenades to Mk5 sticks, even though it will cost us more.

Trip mines sound very intriguing - never seen these before?

How many ball grenades for punters? 4 each? 3 each? That would currently cost us £225.60 (inc VAT) and £161.50 (inc VAT) respectively. 5 x Mk5s each would currently cost us £188.

I can check the colour of the smokes. Red 150 sec ones might be ok if they do them.

With the pyros that guy holds that takes £39.30 off the money Guy holds for CiA (inc VAT).

Will Napthas be ok in woodland?

Don't know how the trip mines work.

What's the normal site cost for ball grenades? £3.50? Three each will give punters a perceived value of over £10 which seems fair enough!

I think coloured smoke is more suitable for signalling really - if we are using big smokes in game it's for tactical and atmospheric reasons. Thinking about it, I bet the black ones would chuck out a lot of dye which might cause probs for clothing of those close by. White seems easiest!

Pyro display will be away from the woods, nice and safe, next to water too * dreams of water plumes - don't mention C4! *

I'd quite like to explore the possibilities of the trip mines - thinking of before a mine field so someone gets blown up before they realise they are in a mine field. I do have a 9mm blank firing trip mine but it's a nightmare finding the pin as it always gets kicked about when peeps get blown up!

Struck ball grenades at £3.25 so 3 of them would be fine.

I'll find out about the trip mines.

OK, we have 32 members currently booked which means we'll need 96 ball grenades. I'm going to allow for a few more members to book, or currently booked people to become members at order 120 ball grenades.

Here's what I'm going to order, please let me know if you want to increase or reduce in any way:

120 x ball grenades: £180
2 x 5" Napthas: £31
6 x 150s smokes (if white available): £40.50
OR
6 x Mil smokes: £51

Depending on how they work:

10 x trip mines: £20

That means the maximum cost inc VAT (but plus delivery) will be: £331.35

Fine - could you just add six 60sec smokes (any colour - bright colours good!)- will be attached to ammo dumps to signify destruction.

Excellent.

I'll will be sorting ammo/fuel dump marker signs as well as place name boards. As well as 'ambiance' it will help greatly with orientation and command.

The only other things I need are ammo boxes and jerry cans. If you three could indicate what you have then I'll see about sourcing some more.

All I have is one large metal ammo box (ex-A2C but painted drab).

Don't have any ammo tins.

Speaking of ambiance, did we ever get all the CiA CD players and big batteries back off Yith? They aren't on my accounts sheets and should be counted as assets....

I have one CD player, Jay has the battery. I'll ask Rich for the rest back, I'll be seeing him on Saturday.
